WHY QT CONNECTIONS?
Queer and Trans Connections creates intentional, substance-free spaces in rural Columbia and Greene Counties. We were established to uplift and empower the Queer and Trans community. We exist to provide the support and visibility that is so often missing in rural environments.
Our mission is driven by urgent community needs: 43% of rural LGBTQ+ youth have considered suicide, and 1 in 5 misuse prescription opioids. LGBTQ+ adults face over twice the risk of mental health conditions and significantly higher rates of chronic illness and homelessness. We provide the affirming, community-driven care that prioritizes wellbeing over isolation.
QT Connections marches in the 2026 Hudson Pride Parade.
